Where is our president?
Related to country: Nigeria

Who can answer this question truthfully? Who can authoritatively say that he knows where our 'dear' president is? How can it be that our president has been lost to the public eye since November last year without any satisfying explanation and yet everything is calm and quiet? Where is our president? Who, except his wife maybe, can answer that question? Can it be said that Nigerians are either insensitive to the conditions of the leadership in this country or that we are all psychologically blind to the evil patching our country.

We say that we need our public officers to work for the betterment of all Nigerians yet we feign ignorance of the goings on in the government.

When will Nigerians sit up and say attention to the running of our Federal Government.?

The condition of our educational system
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

The status of our educational system is nothing to write good about. Owning is now a new form of business. So many mushroom schools spring up everywhere. To my consternation, the standards of such schools are not checked by our ministries of education. The result is that we produce substandard and half-baked students who cannot even stand on their own feet in the world beyond school. We produce students who, though are through with secondary education, cannot gain university admission because they cannot vilify their WASSCE. This degrading situation is enough cause for alarm. We should and must do something about it for the future of educated Nigeria, for our children, and for posterity as a whole. Thanks.

The world is changing
Translations available in: Arabic (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | English | Swedish | Russian | Dutch

The world is changing
Automatically translated into English thanks to WorldLingo
the whole world is changing. Not only the calibre of people alive in the world today, but also the norms and values of our world today are very different from those of our forebears. We naturally place much value on things that are somehow irrelevant to our forebears. They do not understand it: maybe because of the age gap or because the world is moving a pace too fast.

But all the same the advice of our parents is still important in our today ' s world. There is a saying among my people that what an elderly person saw while sitting down, a youngster will not see even while standing on the top of an Iroko tree.

We should heed the advice of our parents. That advice may be the North Star that will lead you to a safe harbor in this life.

I just want to let everbody out there know that you can have the world at your fingertips if only you will work hard enough to gather the whole of it.
